David and Rebecca met more than 30 years ago when they were offered work experience at Gepp & Sons, then one of the larger law firms based in Chelmsford, Essex.
Rebecca left Gepp & Sons to take up a position at a firm in Romford, Essex, soon becoming Head of the Family Department there and a Partner.
David left Gepp & Sons to join a firm in Oxford, then Cole and Cole, now Morgan Bruce.
Seduced by the bright lights of London, David moved there in June 1998 to take up a job with Fisher Meredith, at which he became a partner in 2000.
Rebecca too gave in to the pull of London and in 2001 she moved to Healys as a Partner.
David set up Josiah-Lake Solicitors and, as luck would have it, in May 2008, he reconnected with Rebecca and a few cocktails later they had agreed to join forces.
Josiah-Lake Gardiner was established on 15 December 2008 and continues to grow from strength to strength.
