Richard Morgan (Consultant)
Richard graduated from Manchester University with Honours, having read History. After initially qualifying as a barrister, being Called to the Bar in 1997 and completing his pupillage at 1 King's Bench Walk in 1998, Richard then began working at Ambrose Appelbe,a firm of solicitors in Lincoln's Inn. During his ten years in the Family Department there, Richard represented a broad cross section of people and was latterly recommended under the firm's ranking in the Legal 500. In 2008 Richard cross qualified and was admitted as a solicitor.
With over 12 years experience, Richard has expertise in all aspects of family law and the legal and practical issues arising from a breakdown of the relationship, whether within a marriage, civil partnership or cohabitation.
With regard to the finances, cases have involved high net worth, complex issues, emergency preservation of assets, Trusts, businesses, foreign pensions, significant property portfolios and international or jurisdiction aspects.
With respect to issues regarding children, Richard has considerable experience of all private law children matters including contact, residence, paternity testing, specific issues such as a name change, leave to remove applications, and emergency actions as well as, on occasion, foreign adoption and surrogacy.
Richard also advises upon Pre Nuptial and Pre Civil Partnership agreements, as well as those arranged within the marriage or partnership or after separation.
Outside work Richard relishes food and wine, balanced with cycling and outdoor pursuits, music (of an eclectic taste), reading (history and other fiction) and the company of friends and family.
