Bryan Reed (Consultant)
Bryan Reed has an Honours Law Degree from the University of Manchester, and trained as a lawyer with a niche family law practice in his home city of Birmingham. He qualified as a solicitor in 1980, which coincided with his permanent move to London. He now specialises solely in family law cases, which have always formed the bulk of his practice. However in previous years he also dealt with general civil litigation matters, giving him a wider breadth of experience.
Bryan joined Josiah-Lake Solicitors as a consultant in November 2007 to strengthen and develop his family law practice, and as part of the firm’s structured expansion and has remained with the firm which became Josiah-Lake Gardiner LLP in December 2008. Prior to that he worked with other law firms in the City of London and the West End, most recently at media practice Gersten and Nixon in Soho, where he was a partner for many years. Although not in any sense a “techie”, Bryan also has a particular interest in the future development of on-line legal services, which he is developing as part of his role with Josiah-lake Gardiner, overseeing its on-line divorce service – www.justdivorce.co.uk.
He is a member of the Law Society’s accredited Family Law Panel and the Resolution Group of Family Lawyers, and has extensive experience of dealing with family law cases.
Bryan is married, with a daughter of school age who takes up much of his spare time. He is a keen sportsman, and in (much) younger years played semi-professional football in Birmingham. He was also awarded colours as a footballer for Manchester University’s first team.
